Properties

How properties work on Minima

Updated View as Markdown

Properties have a label, for humans using the UI, and a key for developers and agents using the API, which is in camel case.

For example, if you have a Cat entity type, and you add a property for Temperament, the key would be temperament.

A property can be one of the following types:

Text

A simple text input.

Number

A simple number input.

Checkbox

A simple yes or no input.

Date

A simple date input, with no timezone.

Date with Precision

A date input which allows you to define a day, month, quarter, year, or a full precision, with a time and timezone.

This is useful for something like the release date of a product, which can often be a release window when the product is initially announced.

Number with Unit

A number with a specific unit of measurement.

For example, the top speed of a car might be measured in miles per hour or kilometres per hour, depending on where you’re based.

We have a growing library of units available which you can use, or you can define your own - it’s up to you.

Price

A price with a currency, which defaults to USD.

Relationship

A relationship with another entity. You can choose to restrict a relationship to entities of a particular type, or set of types.

Select

A dropdown select menu which allows you to add new values easily.

URL

A URL-specific text input.
